Hello Everyone, just your local licensure lady here.  I wanted to do a brief and quick update on a few items for you and your license.  Realize if you have not been to any of my presentations you are a mid-cycler if you up for relicensing in 2020.  National Board Teachers are generally mid cycle because they have a 10 year license.

For All:

Beginning April 1, 2017 educators can carry over unused professional development hours completed between April 1st and June 30th of the final years of their renewal cycle to the next five-year renewal cycle. Educators should not record unused professional development in ELIS until July 1st of the next renewal cycle.
OPRF has provided us with MANY great opportunities for PD hours throughout our normal year and inservices.

For Every Professional Development Activity that you Enter you WILL need an Evidence of Completion Form from an Illinois State Approved Provider.
When completing graduate level courses you will need to send transcripts to the State (my preference to directly to Sharon Balderas at West 40 instructions provided on licensure basics page).  For EACH Graduate Hour you recieve 15 PD hours (3 credit course = 45 hours)

Good News from the State about this Remote Learning time!  They will be issuing PD forms for all of your hard work!
It’s a bit of a tedious process but worth it for teachers.
If teachers need it for 2020 renewal they can use.  If they just re-upped their license then any weeks AFTER April 1 they can hold their paperwork (after approval) and enter it in on or after July 1 to count for the next cycle. If you are a 2020 Renewer DO NOT ENTER THIS UNTIL AFTER JULY.  For people Mid - Cycle you can enter anytime AFTER approval.  Note:  I submitted one and received a confirmation but I am waiting on my approval.  You can get up to 3 hours per day.

Remote Learning PD Submission
In order to receive credit for PD you need to fill out a survey.  Here are links for the 2019 - 2020 surveys along with the hours they are awarding for each activity.  You can grab them through the above links in the 2019 - 2020 folder or click directly through this link.

Once you renew your PD will reset for the next cycle. You can ALWAYS go back and check your previous PD by switching the dates.
Entering Professional Development
The biggest new thing on the site is entering PD. They now have a drop down menu for providers. The hope is that ONLY approved providers are in the list but who knows with the state sometimes.
